The Movement
The Rose Ocean features a Miyota 90S5, operating at smooth 4Hz with a lengthy 42 Hours power reserve, and regulated in house by myself
The Materials
The Rose Ocean's case is made from PVD'd 316L Stainless Steel paired with a double domed sapphire crystal and a ceramic bezel. Simply put: You will have a hard time trying to scratch this watch
The Case
The Rose Ocean follows the classic SKX007 format; with a 42mm diameter, a 46mm lug-to-lug and sits at a 15mm total thickness. Of course with The Rose Ocean being a dive watch, the case comes equipped with a 20 ATM Water Resistance Level, perfect for swimming with.
The Straps
The Rose Ocean comes with two straps: A classic vegetable tanned Italian full grain leather strap entirely hand made in Vietnam. The Leather strap is lined with Zermatt French leather well known for its, sweat resistant and skin safe qualities. The Rose ocean's leather strap is perfect for dressier occasions or just everyday wear. The second strap the Rose Ocean comes with it is a tropical FKM rubber strap, perfect for diving, gym wear or just everyday wear. FKM rubber is renowned for its unique ability to prevent lint sticking to it, alongside its ability to keep its colour and quality over time.
The Rose Ocean's straps come with regular spring bars by default, as they are more secure and with the case's drilled lugs allow for easy interchangeability. But quick release spring bars also come included within the watch box for those who prefer the easiness in changing between straps
Origin of the Design
I built the Rose Ocean to mirror my first ever Mechanical Watch I owned. My First ever mechanical watch was a Rose Gold and Navy skelton dive watch, I adored the watch. Staring down at the watch everyday while bored at school, looking at the movement of, all the tiny little gears; But after a point I realised the issue, this watch talked a big game, but it couldn't back it up. Not water resistant, although had a dive watch bezel, sped up a minute everyday, and a leather strap made from "Genuine Leather"; all while the face screamed "look at me!". I built the rose ocean to be similar to it, but different fundamentally: A much more conservative piece, that prioritized quality above all else, and actually built for its diving purpose. The Rose ocean exists to be the matured version of my very first mechanical watch.
