The Movement

Powered by the mighty Miyota 90S5, operating at smooth 4Hz with a lengthy 42 Hours power reserve, and regulated in house by myself. The Cherry Cola is more than just a pretty face, it runs smooth underneath the hood too.

The Materials

The Cherry Cola's case is built from the classic 316L Stainless Steel. The Cherry Cola's main front crystal, is a double domed sapphire crystal. The back glass crystal is also sapphire, ensuring an ever lasting uninterrupted view of the cherry Cola's 90S5 movement at work.

The Bezel

Perhaps the most stunning and defining characteristic of the cherry cola, is its Sapphire Glass Bezel, that creates a glossy-glass like effect that could only be described as pure beauty. The Bezel while beautiful, is also equally as practical:

The Bezel's markers allow for simple dual timezone tracking without the requirement for a GMT hand. The Bezel also carries the ability to fulfill the classic dive watch bezel role, with its 60 click unidirectional racheting system allowing for divers to time their dives safely. As if the bezel wasn't the full package already, it's also fully lumed - perfect for use in the dark.

The Case

The Cherry Cola follows the classic SKX007 format; with a 42mm diameter, a 46mm lug-to-lug and sits at a 15mm total thickness. Of course with The Cherry Cola being a dive watch, the case comes equipped with a 20 ATM Water Resistance Level, perfect for swimming with.

The Straps

The Cherry Cola comes with two straps: A classic vegetable tanned Italian full grain leather strap entirely hand made in Vietnam. The Leather strap is lined with Zermatt French leather well known for its, sweat resistant and skin safe qualities. The Cherry Cola's leather strap is perfect for dressier occasions or just everyday wear. The second strap The Cherry Cola comes with it is a tropical FKM rubber strap, perfect for diving, gym wear, or just giving the watch a more fun look. FKM rubber is renowned for its unique ability to prevent lint sticking to it, alongside its ability to keep its colour and quality over time.

The Cherry Cola's straps come with regular spring bars by default, as they are more secure and with the case's drilled lugs allow for easy interchangeability. But quick release spring bars also come included within the watch box for those who prefer the easiness in changing between straps

Design Idea Origins

The main idea for the cherry cola was to create a watch that was ultimately "Cool", hence the simple but great black dial. Then the bezel idea came from the want to make this seem like an 80s America watch, after previous work I did on a watch called the Miami I was eager to embrace the use of more vivid colour. The combined result, a effortlessly cool watch.
